The Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) is a unique space analog facility located in the remote Utah desert. It is owned and operated by the Mars Society and provides an opportunity for professional scientists, engineers, and students of all levels to experience what it would be like to go on a simulated mission to Mars. MDRS crew members are provided with state-of-the-art training and resources including six distinct structures such as the two story Habitat, Robotic Observatory, GreenHab, Science Dome, and the new RAMM module. During their stay, crew members participate in rigorous field studies and human factors experiments while experiencing relative isolation from civilization. It is an exciting and rewarding experience that transports you to the red planet!
