Visitors to the Emerald Pools in Zion National Park have the choice of taking a short and easy 1.2-mile loop trail that leads to the Lower Pool, or continuing on for a 2-mile round trip to also experience the Middle and Lower pools. Hikers will be able to enjoy a beautiful desert oasis with a lush green stream following the path that empties into three distinct pools surrounded by rocks. The tranquil atmosphere provided by the maple trees shading the natural amphitheater at the Upper Pool makes it an ideal destination for a peaceful day hike. Travelers should remember to keep their visit respectful and refrain from bathing in or walking through the water.
