The Canyon Overlook Trail in Zion National Park is a popular destination for hikers of all skill levels. The 1-mile out-and-back trail is relatively easy to navigate while offering its visitors breathtaking views of the canyon below. With an elevation gain of 187 ft, the trail is generally considered moderately challenging and can take up to 29 minutes to complete. There are sections with steep drop offs so caution should be taken. Along with the canyon's majestic formations comes an abundance of wildlife to enjoy. Visitors may spot two mountain sheep along the way as well as terrific views of the West Temple, the Towers of the Virgins, Streaked Wall, Beehives, and the Great Arch. An amazing experience awaits those who venture out to this popular trail.
