It is one of the oldest shrines in the Arima Onsen area and is dedicated to the gods who are said to have discovered the hot springs in Arima.

It has a very calm and peaceful atmosphere. While I would not say that it is unique compared to some other shrines in Japan, nonetheless this shrine is very important to the Arima Onsen area.

Also, there are some other temples and shrines in the nearby area that you will pass by on your way to the Tosen Shrine.
