Guide Tips
I want you to get the most out of this guide so you can have the best trip to Moab with your dog as possible. Here's some additional information about how I structured the guide
If you look at the "Things to Do" tab, all of the hikes are organized from what I would consider to be the most to least dog-friendly in terms of water access, difficulty, and terrain. The hikes towards the beginning have access to water throughout the hike, which makes them great options for dogs during warmer months. Hikes towards the bottom have obstacles (ladders, ropes) that some dogs may have difficulty navigating around.
The majority of hikes in this guide do NOT allow mountain bikes, but there are a few that do. These are noted in the trail descriptions.
I intentionally excluded activities that are inside of Canyonlands or Arches National Park. There are very few places where dogs are allowed inside both parks (mainly just parking lots), so while you can drive through the parks with your dog, you can't actually do anything with them. Fortunately, there are plenty of things to see and dog outside of the national parks that your dog can join!
If there's anything else you'd like to see in the guide, please let me know!
