Mælifell es un volcán del sur de Islandia que se alza 200 metros por encima de su entorno. Es un volcán de cono compuesto formado por erupciones bajo el glaciar Myrdalsjökull hace unos 10.000 años. Accesible solo en vehículos 4x4, se encuentra junto al glaciar Mýrdalsjökull en una carretera mojada y a veces inundada. La mejor época para visitarlo es de julio a principios de octubre para aquellos lo suficientemente aventureros como para hacer la caminata.
