Dating back to the 17th century and designed by the architect Guarino Guarini, this Italian-Baroque-style chapel is one of the most religiously significant places in Turin. Not only is it known for its marvelous dome but also for housing for several centuries the Shroud of Turin (Sindone di Torino), an old linen cloth many believe is the burial garment of Jesus. It is included in the visit of the Musei Reali (Royal Museums).
