🌊 Motutara Recreation Reserve Walk 🌿

🚶‍♂️ Short and Scenic – A lovely 1.5 - 2 hr walk through open farmland with stunning coastal views. 🏞️

👀 Explore the Blue Lagoon – At the end of the track, there's a large blue lagoon and a possible hidden track. We haven’t ventured there, but it could be worth checking out if you’re in the area! Let us know what you discover. 🌊👣

🏞️ Track Details:

• Start Location: Whananaki village (between Russell & Whangārei, 40 km NE from Whangārei)

• Private farmland & campground at the beginning – Stay on track!

• Limited parking – Be mindful of roadside space 🚗

🏖️ Secluded Beaches – Explore quiet spots on the headland, perfect for fishing, swimming and diving 🎣🐠.

👟 Distance: 3.4 km return, following the same track.

This walk is perfect for a relaxing day in nature with some hidden gems along the way. 💚
