Fjaðrárgljúfur is an incredible, captivating canyon in South Iceland, close to the old town of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. It was formed towards the end of the last ice age and offers stunning views from its sheer walls, adorned with numerous waterfalls and moss-covered rocks. Hikers, photographers and sightseers can explore the ridges above or wander along the valley below. Its remoteness makes it a particularly special place to visit - which is why there are a variety of self-drive tours, boat trips and other experiences available to enjoy the magic of Fjaðrárgljúfur.
