Message from Ian G Black

Greyfriars Bobby's grave is located in Greyfriars Kirkyard in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is the final resting place of a little black Skye Terrier who captured the hearts of many with his loyalty and devotion to his master. Bobby's story began when he became the faithful companion of Edinburgh policeman John Gray. After Gray's death, Bobby refused to leave his master's gravesite and made it his home. Despite being chased away by the caretaker, Bobby persisted in guarding the grave and even earned the affection of local residents who fed him and built him a shelter. Bobby's unwavering dedication touched the hearts of many, and he became a beloved figure in Edinburgh. Today, visitors can pay their respects at his grave and see the monument erected in his honor.
