Estrada das Paineiras is a beautiful mountain road that crosses the Tijuca National Park. It leads you all the way to Mirante Dona Marta and Corcovado (where the entrance to Christ the Redeemer is).

This road is full of little waterfalls and reminiscent constructions from the imperial times in Rio. It is a beautiful and peaceful place where locals often go to work out. You will probably see people cycling and walking around here if you come during the weekend.
