Festvågtinden is one of Lofoten's most popular hikes, and for good reason. Perched directly above the picturesque fishing village of Henningsvær, this summit offers breathtaking views that draw thousands of hikers every year. Starting point: Follow the road 816 towards Henningsvær, the paid parking lot is located by the former water reservoir. From there, you need to walk a short distance along the road until the path on the left side leads into the forest, marking the start of the hike. Coordinates for Google Maps: 68.171041, 14.213964.

Route: The hike to Festvågtinden begins at the old reservoir ruins in Festvåg and follows a path through a valley with large boulders. For a longer route, take the right path past Lake Heiavannet, or for a more direct climb, follow the middle path up the scree. Avoid the left path, which leads to climbing routes. At Lake Heiavannet, enjoy views of Henningsvær before continuing the ascent. The final stretch is steep, with loose gravel and a short scramble near the top, where you'll reach a plateau used for concerts. The summit, at 541 meters, offers stunning views over Henningsvær.

Difficulty according to Norwegian standards: Red = demanding; tours suitable for experienced hikers with good stamina and the necessary hiking equipment such as good mountain boots.
