Cascata Cela Cavalos is one of the nicer waterfalls in Portugal although not that high, but very picturesque. The waterfall is located near Cela (Outeiro), north of Cabril in the region Vila Real, Portugal.

From Cabril it is a 30 minute drive north over road CM1021>M308 in the direction of Paradela. After 15 kilometer you see the exit (small sign) to Cela. Park your car somewhere near chapel Santa Luzia. The road to the chapel is narrow but it is possible to drive there. It is allowed to driver further on the dust road but I am not sure if you need a 4WD??

From Capela de Santa Luzia it is approximately a 2 kilometer walk (30 minutes), but it is certainly worthwhile to go there. It looks the perfect place for a swim, relax and to explore the surroundings.

Cascata Cela Cavalos drops down over 10 meters but there are more small drops upstream. I don’t think those are easy to reach.
