Borgarfjarðarhöfn, also known as Borgarfjörður Eystri, is a picturesque village and harbor in East Iceland.

Location: Borgarfjarðarhöfn is located in the fjord of Borgarfjörður Eystri, approximately 70 kilometers (43 miles) northeast of Egilsstaðir.

Accessibility: The village is accessible via Route 94, a scenic drive that takes about an hour from Egilsstaðir. The road is paved for the most part but includes some gravel sections.

Borgarfjarðarhöfn is one of the best places in Iceland to see puffins. The Hafnarhólmi puffin colony is a major attraction, where visitors can observe these charming birds up close from late April to mid-August.
