We've packed a lot into this three day itinerary - so much that you could easily take your time and enjoy this over a full week.

Most people arriving on Ferry will come into Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, which means you should make the most of some of the great spots nearby.

This includes the Calanais Standing House and the Blackhouse Village. Both require a few hours and are absolute bucket list locations packed full of history and tales.

If you feel you have the time then a trip up the northern tip of Lewis is a must. This part of the island is exposed to some of the harshest winds and wave and it really shows in how the coastline is formed. That said the beautiful white sands of Eoropie Beach feel like they should be found further south.

Having explored some of Lewis (if you have longer we'd recommend taking in more from our map) make the 2 hour or so drive onto the Isle of Harris, stopping in Tarbet for incredible local seafood from Lorna's Larder in the harbour.
