Downhill Beach, located in Coleraine, is a breathtaking stretch of sand that offers a unique experience, as it's one of the few drivable beaches in Northern Ireland. With stunning views of the iconic Mussenden Temple perched dramatically on the cliffside, it's a popular spot for scenic drives and beach days. However, before venturing onto the sand, it's crucial to check the beach conditions. At times, the sand can be soft and behave like quicksand, posing a risk for vehicles. Always ensure other cars are driving on the beach safely or check local conditions to avoid getting stuck.
