Basel is a remarkable city in idea-size that has a great selection of architecture, culture, and games. Situated in the northwest corner of Switzerland on the Rhine near the tripoint of France, Germany, and Switzerland, it's one of the most important cultural centres and a great destination for international travellers. From Kunstmuseum to the world’s first public museum of contemporary art in Europe, the Museum of Contemporary Art, there are over 40 museums throughout the city-canton. It was also the home of the first-ever World Zionist Congress and has become a major hub of scientific exploration in the fields of chemistry and pharmaceutics. Beyond this, Basel continues to draw arts and literature figures like Erasmus Rotterdam, Friedrich Nietzsche, Carl Jung, Hermann Hesse, and Karl Jaspers. Travel to Basel to experience its great range of activities including art galleries, fashion boutiques, churches, riverside cafes, and more!
