The Schilthorn is a peak in Switzerland's Bernese Oberland, known for having the country's highest cableway system and a restaurant at the top featured in a James Bond movie. At an elevation of 2,970 meters (9,744 feet), the summit offers breathtaking views of several nearby mountains, such as the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau; the Titlis, Jura Mountains, Vosges Mountains, and Black Forest in the distance; and even Mont Blanc to the south. To reach the top, one can take a series of cable cars from Stechelberg, Gimmelwald, and Mürren or join in one of the region's summer and winter events like the world-renowned Inferno downhill ski race and Inferno Triathlon. On clear days, the views make the Schilthorn an attractive destination for tourists and adventurers alike.
