Hike
2-3h
Westfjords’ highest peak is the 998m mountain. Located within the so-called Westfjords Alps, it can be approached by hiking from either Dýrafjörður or Arnarfjörður. In July-September you can drive a (rather rough) gravel road up to the mountain pass, making the hike itself nice and easy. The rest of the year the approach has to be done on foot, making it into a very long day trip. On top of it there is a cairn, allowing you to reach a full 1000m.
You drive to Fossdalur.
