Find Ragnar Guðmundsson who makes the best harðfiskur around and buy a bag directly from him. Harðfiskur, dry fish, is what we Icelanders eat as a snack. Not treated in any way but dried only in semi-open sheds, harðfiskur is not to be cooked but enjoyed simply straight out of the bag. Often with butter.
