This museum hosts various objects related to Icelandic history, and also objects that have nothing to do with it. There is a stuffed eagle and old tools, wooden boat and movie screening telling the story of an impressive rescue mission in the 30’s. But an object that usually steals the attention is an old US Navy Douglas DC-3 plane wreck, which to date I never quite understood why it’s there.
