How to Find the Trail Behind Shell Gas Station in Page, Arizona:

Behind the gas station, there is a dirt lot where you can park your car, providing convenient access to the trailhead.

From the dirt lot, look for a discreet trail that begins nearby to the right of the gas station. Although the trail is not marked with formal signs, it is generally visible and used by other explorers. Follow this relatively short and straightforward trail as it winds through the desert terrain toward the sandstone formations. Continue on the path until you reach the Big Lake Sand Cave, where the unique sandstone walls and formations will become visible. While the trail is not well-marked, it is well-trodden by previous visitors, making it easier to follow.

PHOTOGRAPHY TIP: You will need to either shoot 12-16mm on your full frame camera or 0.5 on your iPhone to capture the entire cave.
