✨ Arguably the most popular hike in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, this waterfall is a MUST save activity when visiting Southern Utah.
At 126 feet tall, Lower Calf Creek Falls is a hidden oasis in the desert. Located only 4.5 hours from both Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, Escalante is a great escape for a long weekend.

👧🏼 Kid friendly
💡 TIPS FOR VISITING:
1️⃣ Start hiking before 8am to beat the crowds and the heat // we started around 7:45 and only saw 3 others at the waterfall, however passed >50 people on our hike out
2️⃣ Day Use Parking is $5 unless you have an America the Beautiful Pass and then its free
3️⃣ You MUST pack out all of your trash. There are no trash recepticles anywhere on the grounds, including the bathrooms.
4️⃣ Drones are permitted, as verified by the BLM office and GSENM website, however we went VERY early to insure I wouldn’t impede on any one’s peaceful visit, although the sound of the falls is much louder than the drone itself. Only two others were there at the same time and I spoke with them prior to flying. Be mindful of others before you fly given it’s a very small area.
