Hurricane Peak is possibly one of my favorite 13ers in the state; it also may be one of the easiest. The views from Hurricane are unbeatable - just below you have views of Lake Como and looking west for Sunset, see the sun setting behind the Sneffels Range. Depending on type of vehicle, you can park at Sunny Side Saddle and the hike is less than a mile to the summit. Parking below will add a little mileage, but the majority of the trail follows a mining road until you reach the scree approach. The hardest part of this hike is simply existing at this altitude.

Trek is Approx 2 miles RT at most from Sunnyside Saddle. Less if you keep driving up the trail.
