Canby Mountain is a 13,478-foot peak located in San Juan County, Colorado. It's about six miles east of Silverton and sits on the Continental Divide in the Rocky Mountains. The mountain offers some sweet views and is a popular spot for hiking with trails like the Continental Divide Trail and Colorado Trail passing through. Plus, it's got that cool factor of being part of the headwaters of the Rio Grande. Parking is easy right at the summit of Stony Pass so 4x4 will be required. I've hiked Canby (and Canby/Galena Ridgeline 4 times now) and never once seen another person.
