Edinburgh Airport, located in Scotland, is a bustling hub that serves over 11 million passengers annually. Owned by Global Infrastructure Partners, this airport boasts one runway and a passenger terminal employing around 2,500 people. Originally a military airfield in World War I, it transitioned to commercial use in 1947. Over the years, the airport has seen significant expansions and upgrades, including a new terminal building opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1977. With a variety of airlines offering both domestic and international flights, Edinburgh Airport continues to be a key player in Scotland's aviation scene.
