The Nelson Monument in Edinburgh, Scotland is a cool tower dedicated to Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson. It was built between 1807 and 1816 to honor his victory at the Battle of Trafalgar and his death there. The monument sits on top of Calton Hill and offers an awesome view of Princes Street. Fun fact: there's a time ball on top that used to signal the time to ships in Leith harbour. It even flies flags on Trafalgar Day! The monument got a makeover in 2009 and is now open to the public. So if you're in Edinburgh, don't miss this historic and impressive sight!
