Verdant Works, also known as Scotland's Jute Museum, is a former jute mill in Dundee, Scotland that has been transformed into a museum dedicated to the city's textile industry. The museum tells the story of Dundee's textile heritage, focusing on the jute and linen industries that once thrived in the area. With its Category A listed building status, original features, and extensive collections, Verdant Works offers visitors a fascinating glimpse into the history of textile production in Scotland. Plus, it's got Prince Charles' stamp of approval - he officially opened the restored buildings back in 1996! The museum honours Dundee's jute heritage, as 50,000 Dundonians worked in the jute industry during its peak, having a significant effect the economy and society.
