Union Terrace Gardens is a public park located in Aberdeen, Scotland. Opened in 1879, the gardens cover about two and a half acres and are surrounded by impressive architecture like His Majesty's Theatre and St Mark's Church. The park features a floral crest of the city's coat of arms and a group of nearly 200-year-old elm trees. Despite some controversial development plans in the past, the gardens have recently undergone a three-year, £30 million refurbishment and reopened in December 2022, welcoming visitors to enjoy its green spaces and historic charm.
