Old Calton Cemetery in Edinburgh, Scotland is a historic burial ground with a cool vibe. It is fulll of Edinburgh greats such as philosopher David Hume, architect Thomas Hamilton and one very notable non resident the statue of Abraham Lincoln. The only monument to the American Civil War outside of the United States erected in 1893. It was the first effigy to an American President beyond their shores. With its old gravestones and peaceful atmosphere, it's a great spot to wander around and soak up some history. Plus, there's a Scottish American Soldiers Memorial that adds an extra touch of interest. So, if you're into exploring cemeteries with character, Old Calton Cemetery is definitely worth checking out!
