The Fossa Magna Park is where you can see Japan's tectonic plates that shaped the country. Thanks to this rift, the mountains of Japan lifted and became the awesome Alps that I snowboard and hike on today!

This a cool spot to geek out on geology and start to piece together some understanding of the natural history of Japan. Located in Itoigawa UNESCO Global Geopark, this area showcases the power of nature and gave me more appreciation for the scientific side of things.
