This mountain hut is renowned for its open-air hot spring baths, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and skies. It’s a seasonal destination, open from mid-July to late September, catering to hikers seeking both adventure and relaxation.

Access

  • The nearest trailhead is Sarukura, with a hike of approximately 4-5 hours via Kohinata Col to reach the hut.

  • Along the trail, hikers are treated to stunning alpine scenery and seasonal wildflowers, making the journey as memorable as the destination.

Hot Spring Features

  • The open-air baths are mixed-gender, with designated hours for women only.

  • From the baths, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of iconic peaks and a spectacular starlit sky at night.

  • The spring’s mineral-rich waters are classified as a carbonated sulfur spring, believed to benefit nerve pain, skin conditions, and diabetes.

Accommodation

  • The hut accommodates up to 100 guests and includes space for 30 tents in the camping area.
