Arguably (and subjectively) some of most impressive ski views you'll find while skiing in Japan if you get a bluebird day. The Togakushi mountain shapes across from the resort are jagged and sharp and feel so close like you're skiing in a painting.
Togakushi is popular with the locals and you'll find a few internationals doing some ski guiding, too. Thanks to it's location which takes a little time to reach from the popular hubs of Hakuba and Myoko, this place is a little under the radar. However, this is one of my personal go-to favorite locations after I've slashed the powder snow in my most local Myoko resorts and there is nothing left. I head to Togakushi days after snow and will easily find more fresh lines without much effort.
