To keep things short and sweet, I visit here for the ice cream almost every time I go to Shiga Kogen area for skiing. I grab an ice cream made at the chocolatier counter and head straight to the food onsen outside. It's great in winter when it's snowing and you're all rugged up, feet in the hot spring, snow falling, and I'm eating ice cream. One of those perfect moments.

There is also a fancy looking brewery here that make local beer but honestly, it's the ice cream and hot spring for me!
