Charmant Hiuchi in Niigata, Japan is a snow lover's paradise nestled at the base of Mt. Hiuchi. Known for its epic powder areas and off-piste skiing, this resort offers stunning views of the Sea of Japan and plenty of fresh snow to play in. With fat skis for rent and a seafood restaurant at the summit, it's the perfect spot to shred some slopes and indulge in delicious local cuisine.

Keep in mind that this is a smaller resort and you'll only want to do the trip out here on a massive powder day - which it has a lot of. When the snow melts this place can get bumpy and challenging as it gets the warmer temps that take out the snow quality.

Go to the top of the ski resort and as you come off the chair lift take a right (skiers left) and head to the trees for some sweet runs. Cut back in towards the chairlifts for some nice drops.
