Vík í Mýrdal is a town in South Constituency, Iceland. It's the warmest place in the country with an annual mean temperature of 5.3°C (41.5°F). This coastal town is unique for its stunning black basalt sand beach that stretches along wild and stormy waters—providing a picturesque view. Additionally, there are several folklore legends connected to this exquisite beach. Further offshore lies stacks of basalt stones, guesses are that they were trolls dragged by the rising sun. Making Vík í Mýrdal more than just an ordinary beach, it is truly an intriguing adventure waiting to be explored.
