La Digue is a breathtaking lush island situated in the Seychelles, in the Indian Ocean. It's covered with dense jungle and grassland-like landscapes, beautiful white sand beaches, and inviting clear blue waters. This delightful island has a population of about 2,800 people, mostly Catholic by faith. With no airports, tourists invariably must visit via ferry from Praslin and Mahé, traveling to La Digue by boat. Tourists can explore the glorious surrounding scenery, by bike, on foot, or even ox-cart. There are plenty of activities on offer, such as snorkeling, diving trips, hiking excursions, and one can discover unique wildlife like giant tortoises and the rare black paradise flycatcher. Visitors looking to relax further can take it easy with some of La Digue’s delicious local cuisine at nearby restaurants and cozy guesthouses. Truly giving locals and visitors alike a picture perfect paradise, La Digue will delight everyone with its alluring surroundings.
