Sightseeing
Bolafjall in Bolungarvík is a must-visit spot for breathtaking views over Ísafjarðardjúp and Jökulfirðir, with some saying you can even see all the way to Greenland. To get there, just drive up the road from Bolungarvík to the radat station at the summit of Bolafjall. The Americans built the station, but now it's run by the Icelandic coast guard. Just remember, the road is usually open from mid-June to mid-September, so plan your visit accordingly. And don't forget to grab a coffee and take a leisurely stroll along the black sand beach in Skálavík while you're there!
