Raft Cove Provincial Park, located on the northwest coast of Vancouver Island, offers a rugged and scenic wilderness experience. With a long sandy beach, rocky headlands, and a wild coastal environment, it's a popular spot for camping, surfing, fishing, and hiking.

Accessible via a moderately challenging trail through old-growth forest, visitors can enjoy the stunning views and wildlife sightings, including black bears, wolves, and river otters.

Just remember to pack warm clothes and waterproof gear, as the park is exposed to the elements year-round.

The beach is extremely remote and located at the northernmost tip of Vancouver Island - a 7 hour drive from Victoria.

The road from Port Hardy to Raft Cove is a 2 hour drive down a very rough logging road. A 4x4 vehicle with high clearance is needed.

There are no services and no cell phone signal when traveling here. So ensure to carry all the necessary safety gear, map out gas stations, download maps/carry paper maps and carry a satellite phone/GPS messenger.

Best times to visit are between May and September.
