Dr. Aurelia Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park, nestled in Oakland, is a serene oasis of towering redwoods and diverse wildlife. Once a bustling logging area, it's now a peaceful haven for hikers, joggers, and horseback riders to explore nearly 40 miles of scenic trails. With picnic spots, a play structure for kids, and group camping areas, it's the perfect spot for a nature-filled adventure or a relaxing day out in the great outdoors.
We opted for one of the Tres Sendas loops, which are shady trails that wind through serene redwood groves, offering a peaceful experience for hikers. It’s a popular spot for hiking, running, and nature trips, so you might encounter others along the way. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash. The trails are accessible year-round, providing a cool retreat during warmer months. For a longer adventure, consider combining it with nearby trails like the West Ridge and French Trail Loop.
