It is also one of the best Edinburgh Instagram Spots. The houses are stacked on top of each other, creating a beautiful, almost unreal setting. Just like the postcards! It is one of the places in Edinburgh where it is pretty much impossible to take a bad photo. Any direction you point to will create something beautiful.

Photo Tip for this location: If you would like an empty street just like in the photo I took then you must go during the early morning hours in the late spring or summer time. If you go any later there will be crowds! I recommend trying both as it gives very different vibes but both could give great photo opportunities! Another tip is to not only take wide-angle shots but also to get some close-up shots of those beautiful buildings! Bring a variety of lenses, try different angles and focal lengths!
