This is one of my favourites in Shanghai and one of the most important Buddhist temple in the city. There is a big pagoda outside where people reunite to play music and dance in the early morning. You can not access this tower but you can access the temple halls.
Once you have your tickets you can go through the big wood entrance and start exploring the halls. You will see people praying, with respect you can move around and take some pictures.
More Info:
Longhua Temple is a Buddhist temple complex in Shanghai, China. It has existed since the third century and the current buildings are reconstructions from the Song Dynasty. The temple is made up of five main halls based on the Sangharama Five-Hall Style, and it is also home to the tallest structure in the complex: Longhua Pagoda. Every year on the third day of the third month of the lunar calendar, people come to the temple for the Longhua Fair - a tradition that dates back to the Ming Dynasty - which includes a celebration of the blooming peach tree orchards in Longhua Park. Visitors can view the historic pagoda though it cannot be entered due to its fragility.
