Quirky Squirrel Statue in Hungary

Message from gabriele serra

Mihály Kolodko's mini statue of a dead squirrel in Budapest, Hungary is one of his most unique and whimsical art pieces. The bronze sculpture, which measures no more than a clenched fist, was found in Szabadság Square (Liberty Square). It draws attention to the local wildlife that can often be seen resting near the café fence, but with a humorous twist. This mini statue illustrates Kolodko's aesthetic, which combines classical sculpture with contemporary culture like cartoons, politics, and even popular figures like Jeff Koons. His bronze sculptures bring Hungarian culture to life for visitors from all over the world.
