Liberton Kirk, located in the suburb of Liberton in Edinburgh, is a historic church with roots dating back to the 12th century. The current building, designed by James Gillespie Graham and built in 1815, replaced an older church that was destroyed by fire. The kirkyard surrounding the church contains notable monuments and interments, including those of prominent figures like Scottish billiards champion Tom Aiken and physiologist Arthur Robertson Cushny. The area also offers recreational activities like pony trekking and is home to schools, a riding school, and various sports clubs.
