Togakushi Eastern Camping Ground is a popular spot in Nagano, Japan for outdoor enthusiasts looking to pitch a tent and enjoy nature. The also have cabins if you prefer a little extra comfort. With beautiful surroundings and convenient amenities like toilets and water facilities, it's a great place to unwind and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The key reasons why I selected this particular campsite is for the variety this place has to offer without being too far away from convenient towns and cities like Nagano city. The views of Mount Togakushi are impressive from where ever you decide to sleep. The facilities are super clean, comfortable, and new. There is a ranch attached to the campsite where you can visit horses, cows, and goats. Plus, you can try the soft serve ice cream that uses the dairy from the farm.

This place is an awesome base for adventure, too. It's a short enough walk to Togakushi shrine (or take the short bus ride) and you can also do a loop to Mount Togakushi and summit the peak if you want to take it to the next level.
