Allans Beach in Dunedin is a wild and beautiful spot on the Otago Peninsula, known for its rugged coastline, wildlife, and surf breaks. Visitors can enjoy watching seals and sea lions playing near Hoopers Inlet before taking a short walk to the beach. If you're lucky, you might even hear the squawking of yellow-eyed penguins at sunset. For stunning coastal views, head to the Sandymount Recreation Reserve for a bird's eye perspective of Allans Beach and Hoopers Inlet. It's a great spot for a day out exploring the natural beauty of Dunedin.
