Visiting Western Australia is extremely season and weather dependant because the North and the Soth have two completely different climates.

Let's start from the North! It has two seasons: dry (April to October) and wet (November to April).

Your best choice to travel the North is the beginning or the end of the dry season, May and September being the best choices because it's not still peak season but the weather is already good and roads are open.

The South instead has all 4 seasons, and it's nice and warm in summer while it's very windy and quite cold in winter.

So the best time to visit is definitely summer, choosing shoulder months is recommended for lesser crowds so definitley November and March

The Coral Coast especially Exmouth and Coral Bay are an in between, they don't properly have two seasons, but also don't have the full four.

The best time to visit is definitely between March and October where marine life such as manta rays and whale sharks are present and the weather is mosty sunny and warm. Summer here is a little more unpleasant and cyclones might form in this period.
