Georgian currency is called Georgian Lari. It's better to exchange in the currency exchange locations vs in banks - the exchange rate there is usually better. Most places took credit cards and you pay for the taxi via app so I only had about $300 USD cash with me and have not spent it all. The only three places I had to pay cash were: a restaurant in Mtskheta, horseback riding in Kazbegi and peeling and robes rental in the Sulphur baths.
