The Sierpe Mangrove is one of the most extensive mangroves I have ever visited. In fact, it’s the largest mangrove in Central America and a really cool and exciting place to do a tour. On a Sierpe Mangrove tour through the wetlands, you’ll spot tons of wildlife, including monkeys, birds, crocodiles, turtles, snakes, and even sloths. You’ll also learn so much about mangroves and their importance to Costa Rica’s wildlife. From Uvita, you can reach Sierpe in around 45 minutes by car, and the tours leave from the main dock along the mangrove. Tours cost around $70 USD, and Bahia Aventura also runs these tours.
