Azure Lake is a beautiful blue-green 24km long lake in Wells Gray Provincial Park. The lake is surrounded by dense forest and rugged mountains.

Most visitors access Azure Lake via Clearwater Lake by boat or canoe. It is connected by a short section of the Clearwater River, which is very difficult to paddle up in June and July.

Close to the far end of the lake is Rainbow Falls, a powerful 20m high waterfall on Angus Horne Creek. While there are other waterfalls to be found on the edge of the lake, Rainbow Falls is the most magnificent! Clearwater Lake Tours run guided trips to Rainbow Falls during the summer months.

There are four designated campgrounds on the shores of Azure Lake. These water access campsites feature tent sites with at least one outhouse, metal food cache, fire pit and picnic table (most have multiple). Access is always from a sandy or pebble beach.
